Don't It Make You Wanna Dance?
by Rusty Wier
E B
I've been gone for so long, don't it feel good to get back home
D A E
To the friends and the people that you'd love to see
E B
There's a twinkle that's in her eye both smiling as you go by
D A E
They know what you what you really wanna feel
Chorus:
E B
Don't it make you wanna dance, don't it make you wanna smile
A E/G# F#m E
When you're down, down, down in the country they can sing a while
E B
Don't it make you wanna dance, don't it make you wanna smile
A E/G# F#m E
When you're down, down, down out in the country they can sing a while
Don't it feel just right tonight, gettin' lose 'neath the old moonlight
Gettin' down, gettin' funky, gettin' hot, gettin' real
Everyone has found a grin, so when the chorus comes around join in
Come on people won't you tell me how you really feel
Chorus x3
Interlude:
(Coming round the mountain, will the circle be unbroken and good hearted woman)
This is written to be played open. I believe that JJW tunes down the bottom string a full step (to D) and plays with a capo at 2. Then E=D, B=A, D=C, A=G, E/G#=D/F#, and F#m=Em. The bass notes would need to be played two frets higher than normal if you drop tune.
The "riff" of this song is something like:
e
B
G
D 2
A 2h4 4 (repeated)
E 0 0 0
